HISTORY ASPECTS:The F-16D Thunderbirds No.7 served as a critical asset in the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron stationed at Nellis Air Force Base. Unlike the single-seat F-16C models used in the main demonstration No.7 was a two-seat variant primarily used for media flights VIP rides and training new Thunderbird pilots. The aircraft retained the striking red white and blue paint scheme representing the precision and excellence of the USAF. Though not used in combat the F-16D in the Thunderbirds fleet remained fully mission-capable and could be rapidly converted for operational use if necessary.While the Thunderbirds primary mission is to inspire and recruit through airshows the team also serves a vital role in military diplomacy. The No.7 aircraft often flew distinguished guests and potential recruits giving them firsthand experience of the F-16s power and agility. In 2017 the team performed across the United States and internationally demonstrating the capabilities of the F-16 in complex aerobatic formations like the Diamond Roll and the Opposing Knif
