HISTORY ASPECTS:The M50A1 Ontos an innovative light armored tracked vehicle was developed by the United States in the 1950s. Designed primarily as an anti-tank weapon the Ontos ("Thing" in Greek) was armed with six 106mm recoilless rifles mounted in pairs on either side of its turret.
