HISTORY ASPECTS:The M103A2 was an American heavy tank designed in the early 1950s to counter Soviet heavy tanks. It entered service in 1957 and was mainly used during the Cold War. The M103A2 was equipped with a 120mm main gun and heavily armored making it capable of taking on heavily fortified positions.The "D12" was an M103A2 variant that featured Reliability Improved Selected Equipment (RISE) upgrades including a more reliable engine and transmission as well as an IR/white light spotlight for better visibility at night.While the M103A2 never saw combat during its service it was used in various military exercises and deployments in Europe and Korea.This 1/72 scale model of the M103A2 "D12" features highly detailed molding and accurate decals making it a great addition to any military model collection.
