\nThe Volkswagen Type 166 Schwimmwagen was developed for the Wehrmacht on the basis of the KdF car and Type 82. The result is the Schwimmwagen, the version produced in the largest numbers; and with its capabilities on land and on water the most successful Schwimmwagen of all time, even being recognized by the enemies of the war at that time. In today's off-road competitions, the VW Schwimmwagen have repeatedly outclassed even modern competitors due to their low weight. Between autumn 1942 and summer 1944, over 14,000 units were produced at the Volkswagen factory near Fallersleben, Germany. Torro has accurately reproduced this unique vehicle, resulting in a 1\/16 scale model that will complement any modelers’ collection.
This version is delivered as RTR (Ready to Run), meaning it is fully functional out of the box.
