What do a 'lion-fish,' World War Two and Chinese immigrants have in common? For starters, all three are featured in my Civic District walk. And, all of the above play a role in Singapore's modern history. The walk takes you through parts of Singapore's colonial heritage – including visiting some historical personalities - and ends at a point where modern and colonial Singapore intersect seamlessly.
