HISTORY ASPECTS:The Sd.Kfz. 234/3 "Stummel" was a heavily armed reconnaissance vehicle developed to support German armored divisions with mobile firepower. Based on the eight-wheeled Sd.Kfz. 234 chassis this variant was fitted with a short-barreled 75mm K51 L/24 gun providing increased firepower for infantry support and urban combat. Designed for mobility and rapid response the 234/3 was used by reconnaissance battalions to engage enemy forces while maintaining the speed necessary for quick withdrawals when needed.By February 1945 the 3rd Panzer Division was engaged in the brutal battles across Hungary attempting to slow the Soviet Red Army’s advance.
