One of Marc-Antoine Corticchiato's favorites, who shaped his personal interpretation on the smoky tones of burnt storax and birch. From there, he was inspired by the Ottoman Empire, drawing from the ancient tradition of leatherworking in Anatolia – until the 19th century, Turkish leather was the most prized in Europe. He introduces iris, already rich in leathery nuances, knowing that its powdery notes were often used to soften the smell of the finest leathers. In harmony with the theme, he immersed the iris and leather accord in tears of incense and benzoin, with their vanilla-like nuances that called for the presence of vanilla, a key element in oriental perfumes along with labdanum. Tonka bean adds a gourmand touch: its tobacco essence intensifies the leather note, evoking the slow smoke of the hookah.
