HYPNOTISM The pattern of this sculpture attracts and holds attention as if hypnotizing the viewer. Expressive lines surrounding the center of the composition on four sides form rhombuses.  The artist did not strive for geometric accuracy, preferring obviously uneven cuts in the wood. This emphasizes that the artwork is the fruit of manual labor when the wood is processed like it was a thousand years ago.
