Myler Flat Shank with Sweet Iron Correctional Low Ported Barrel (MB 27PB, Level 2-3) - 5 Inches

Myler Flat Shank with Sweet Iron Correctional Low Ported Barrel (MB 27PB, Level 2-3) - 5 Inches

The Myler Flat Shank with Sweet Iron Correctional Low Ported Barrel (MB 27PB, Level 2-3) serves as a great alternative to a standard 3-part mouthpiece traditionally used on Flat Shanks. Ideal for a horse with moderate to advanced training but who still might need some correctional tongue pressure from the bit. This flat shank is made from sweet iron and the mouthpiece has a low ported barrel that allows room for the tongue but the center barrel will roll on your horse's tongue to apply two points of pressure when the reins are engaged.

The Basics: Sweet iron with copper inlay. Sweet iron will oxidize naturally over time, is harmless to horses, and its sweet taste encourages salivation.
Level Up:Â ï»żMyler's unique "level" system means there's a bit for your horse no matter their training. Level 2-3 bit offer precise control through ported mouthpieces that relieve your horse's tongue, however there will still be some degree of pressure for correction. Ideal for moderately experienced horses.
\nBenefits of a Flat Shank: Flat shanks are curb bits that require less contact than other bits. They are well-suited for advanced, dexterous riders who use soft hands with horses who respond well to light bit pressure.
\nIndependent Side Movement:Â ï»żEntire shank moves independently from the mouthpiece which means more control and clearer communication between you and your horse.
