\nHISTORY ASPECTS:The MiG-31K Foxhound D is a highly advanced twin-engine supersonic interceptor aircraft developed by the Soviet Union in the late 1970s. The aircraft was primarily designed to engage aerial targets at long ranges and high altitudes with a top speed of Mach 2.83 and a maximum operating ceiling of 67000 feet. The MiG-31K is equipped with a powerful radar system that can track up to 24 targets simultaneously and engage 4 of them with missiles.In recent years the MiG-31K has been extensively used by the Russian Air Force in various conflicts including the Syrian Civil War. In 2018 the MiG-31K was fitted with the KH-47M2 hypersonic missile making it one of the few aircraft capable of delivering such a weapon.
