HISTORY ASPECTS:The F-4E Phantom II 67-351 operated by the 497th Tactical Fighter Squadron played a significant role in the United States Air Forces presence in South Korea during the 1980s. As a variant of the F-4 Phantom II the F-4E was equipped with a more powerful engine and a state-of-the-art avionics suite allowing it to perform effectively in both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions.
