Known for its speed agility and firepower the Spitfire Mk.Ia became an icon of British resistance during one of the most critical periods of World War II. Squadron Leader Lane a distinguished and courageous pilot led his squadron with exceptional skill and bravery playing a significant role in the defense of Britain.No. 19 Squadron stationed at RAF Duxford was one of the first units to receive the Spitfire Mk.Ia.
