"With Angel’s Dust, I tried to recreate the feminine character in an innocent way, light as a feather but at the same time seductive, bold, and decadent. The vintage and 'old style' touch was not intentional, but an inevitable consequence of my idea of femininity from times past, the idea of a woman who, in her wooden boudoir, powdered herself and applied other beauty secrets to her face and body. This is a woman not interested in asserting herself through her career or by imitating traditionally male roles, but seeks to exercise her power through seduction. I therefore warmed the rose-iris accord by adding a combination of resins, which represent a decadent and experienced sensuality. Some films and books have certainly inspired me. Les Liaisons Dangereuses, for example, perfectly represents the sophisticated and corrupted atmosphere I had in mind. A film that particularly struck me is Marie Antoinette by Sofia Coppola. Obviously, I like the rococo setting, but what I love most about that film is the way it represents femininity: shoes, sins, debauchery, decorated and delicious cakes, and absolute carefreeness, without guilt."
