HISTORY ASPECTS:The Chevrolet C8A Ambulance was a robust and reliable vehicle used by the Canadian Army during World War II. Built on the Chevrolet G7107 chassis the C8A was a versatile 1.5-ton 4x4 truck modified to serve as a military ambulance. Equipped with a closed box body the vehicle was designed to transport wounded soldiers from the battlefield to medical facilities. The C8A could carry up to four stretchers and was also capable of transporting a small medical team complete with the necessary supplies to treat soldiers in transit.
