The Lockheed® P-38 Lightning® was a fast, heavily armed US long-range fighter aircraft of WWII. This unusual twin-engine aircraft had a nacelle with a pilot's cabin placed between two fuselages, delivering outstanding performance which translated into a long production period (1941-1945) and a significant number of victories by American pilots. The plane was not decommissioned until 1965.
This COBI model is released under license by Lockheed Martin. Accurately reproduced in 1:32 scale, the model is decorated with high-quality printing that does not wear or fade. The model also features rotating propellers, folding landing gear, movable ailerons and an opening cabin in which you can place the included pilot figure.
