Japanese Kawasaki KI-61 Hien "Tony" 1:32 Scale Building Block Set from COBI - COBI-5740
The KAWASAKI KI-61 ("Flying Swallow") was a World War II Japanese fighter plane. Initially, the Americans suspected that the plane was a copy of an Italian design and gave it the nickname "Tony" suggesting Italian roots, with more than 3,000 produced. It was first encountered by U.S. airmen over Yokohama Harbor during the Doolittle Raid on April 18, 1942. This replica was designed in 1:32 scale and offers features like a rotating propeller, movable ailerons and retractable wheels with rubber tires. The canopy can be opened to view a detailed cockpit with room for the pilot figure with his signature headscarf! A special display stand with nameplate is also included.
