This fragrance is a modern and unconventional variation by Ben Gorham on love and the Damask Rose: traditionally used in perfumes, here it is bathed in a new light. Byredo Rose Noir in fact tells the story of a rose that, due to numerous misadventures, has literally darkened its character. A bit like what happens after the first disappointments in love. The top notes, with grapefruit and freesia, give an aura of purity and innocence. However, in the base, these very delicate notes are contrasted by "hard and masculine" elements such as oakmoss and labdanum. The animal musks that emerge in the finale definitively tint our rose with a dark armor, ultimately making it a Rose Noir.
