This epic superhero movie tells the story of T'Challa, also known as Black Panther. He is the young king of the African nation of Wakanda, a high-tech paradise hidden from the rest of the world. Trouble arrives in the form of Killmonger, a vicious killer who wants to share Wakanda's technology with the underprivileged and oppressed so they can take over the world. T'Challa wants to keep Wakanda and its technology hidden. Faced with an unsolvable moral dilemma, Black Panther and Killmonger face off in a larger-than-life showdown with the fate of the world at stake. If that sounds like a more nuanced plot than most superhero flicks - it's intentional. While it's packed with amazing action sequences, this superhero film rises above the genre with its deep dive into thorny political and cultural commentary.
