In case of acute inflammatory states or trauma involving the wrist joint and the sellar and proximal thumb joint, the ManuLoc Rhizo rigid wrist and thumb brace immobilizes the wrist joint and fixes the thumb with a special support.
\nThe structure of the orthosis can be modified by following a multi-stage therapy, with a progressive increase in mobility of the thumb, until the fastener is completely removed.

When pain relief is within reach
\nWhether it's from a fall down the stairs or chronic wear and tear of the joint: when the wrist joint is affected, the thumb joints can also come into play. And this combination can make every movement of the hand a real torment. The first need is to stabilize and immobilize. In a second phase, it is possible to mobilize the thumb, gradually allowing greater movements by acting on the Velcro strap.

\nManuLoc Rhizo combines the functions and technical features of a wrist and thumb orthosis. The anatomically shaped, flat aluminum splints provide secure support for the wrist and thumb. For optimal positioning, these splints can be further adjusted by an orthopedic technician.
\nThe Velcro tab at the thumb can be loosened to gradually restore the mobility of the basal joint of the thumb. Once mobility is regained, the thumb support can be removed. This will allow grasping movements with all fingers again; all this while the wrist joint remains stabilized for the time being.
\nThe breathable material with integrated holes allows optimal skin transpiration, thus avoiding sweating and itching of the thumb and wrist joint. The practical Velcro closure allows the orthosis to be put on and taken off with maximum ease using the free hand.

Product care instructions
\nManuLoc Rhizo can be washed separately at 30° with liquid detergent. Before washing, remove the glass closures if possible or fix them in the appropriate spaces, in order to avoid damaging the fabric. Do not use a dryer.
