“Long” version of the ManuLoc Rhizo orthosis, ManuLoc Rhizo Long is a long rigid brace indicated for thewrist immobilization with thumb fixation.
Stabilizes the wrist, thumb and most of the forearm, thus alleviating pain due to inflammatory conditions, trauma and surgical interventions.
The design of the orthosis supports multi-stage therapy: During treatment, the thumb support may be initially loosened and then completely removed as the patient recovers physically.

When extra protection is needed
\nSevere pain in the wrist joint and thumb can turn every gripping movement into a real torment, making everyday life intolerable. The affected joints need absolute rest by limiting the rotational movement. But not forever: as soon as the doctor allows it, it is advisable to gradually start training the muscles again.
\nManuLoc Rhizo long is a combination of our ManuLoc long hand orthosis and our RhizoLoc thumb orthosis. With its long lever, it completely immobilizes the wrist joint. Its anatomical aluminum splints can be further adapted by an orthopedic technician.

\nThe Velcro tab on the thumb allows for gradual mobilization of the basal joint, to restore mobility as quickly as possible, after which the thumb support can be completely removed. This will allow grasping movements with all fingers again; all this while ensuring wrist stabilization.
\nThe breathable material with integrated holes allows optimal skin transpiration, thus avoiding sweating and itching of the thumb and wrist joint. The Velcro closure system allows the orthosis to be put on and taken off with maximum ease using the other hand.

Product care instructions
\nManuLoc Rhizo Long can be washed separately at 30° with liquid detergent. Before washing, remove the glass closures if possible or fix them in the appropriate spaces, in order to avoid damaging the fabric. Do not use a dryer.
