This exhilarating thriller was written, directed, and produced by Drew Goddard, the screenwriter for Cloverfield and The Martian. Jeff Bridges, Chris Hemsworth, Dakota Johnson, and Cynthia Erivo star in this fascinating story about seven strangers who end up at the same run-down hotel. Once a bustling establishment, Lake Tahoe's El Royale has fallen on hard times. It straddles the border of Nevada and California, with a line bisecting the premises to mark the border. In 1969, a priest, a salesman, a singer, and others arrive at the hotel, where a lone bellboy is there to greet them. Mysteries and secrets abound - because everyone has something to hide.
