Bigger-than-huge filmmaker Michael Bay takes on the real Benghazi attack in this straight-from-the-headlines war film. Based on the accounts from survivors of the attack, 13 Hours tells the story of security contractors paid to protect a U.S. ambassador in one of the most dangerous regions in the world. Faced with a compound that has inadequate defensive capabilities, the contractors do their best - but the CIA seems determined to keep them from doing their job. Tensions rise when word of the diplomat's presence leaks. A heavily armed mob attacks the compound, but the mercenaries are stuck waiting around with a "stand down" order from the CIA. Will they disobey their order to save the diplomatic personnel in the embassy, or is it too late anyway? This is a tense, exciting film that action fans and political junkies will love.
